Since the end of September I have seen pumpkins all around me because I frequent the grocery store so much. I got to thinking Hmm, I wonder if pumpkins would make a good facial mask somehow? I did some research (aka googling) and found out that pumpkins are actually good for the skin.

As an Black woman hyperpigmentation can very hard to get rid of. The summer can make it worse especially if you're not wearing SPF everyday like you should (shame on me).  I had been looking to get an actual chemical peel but decided against it since I have an actual job and couldn't go out in public if my skin was peeling. So I search online for a mild peel and narrowed it down to two choices: REN Resurfacing AHA Concentrate and Philosophy The Microdelivery Peel.

Celebs Without Makeup!

I know what you're thinking, "Who cares? It's no big deal!" After all celebrities are human just like the rest of us. Sometimes seeing certain people without makeup is shocking because with it on their skin looks so flawless, but underneath not so much. These ladies posted below still look great (in my opinion), and may actually look better.

I was inspired to post this because I find a lot of people that are always trying to find something to cover up their blemishes. Why not try solving the problem if it's possible instead of always concealing them?

Review: Reviva Labs Non-Chemical Light Skin Peel

Hello beautiful readers. I'm back with yet another review.

I was contacted by a customer service rep about trying a Reviva Labs product. After researching the company and visiting their website, I came to the conclusion that I wanted to try their non-chemical light skin peel. I love exfoliation and I'm always looking to try something new. However, there is a such thing as too much exfoliating, so don't over do it!

Anyway, upon opening the product I realized the look of it isn't the most attractive. It's thick like a paste with a grittiness to it. The smell isn't the most pleasant because the thyme oil is really strong.

Review: Chanel Blending Foundation Brush #7

Every since I got hired as a Beauty Advisor about a month ago, I have had my eyes set on this duo fiber brush. Since my trusty finishing kabuki brush by Eco Tools got destroyed I needed a similar brush to give me a great foundation application.


The brush itself is very light, almost weightless.
It comes in a pretty dusting case.   

Review: Boots Expert Sensitive Gentle Cleansing Face Wash

Upon graduating an Aveda concept beauty school I had a lot of products in my kit left over to take home with me. So that's pretty much the only brand I have been using on my face besides different makeup products. A few months ago I ran out of my Aveda Botanical Kinetics Creme Cleanser and wanted to try something different and more affordable.

While shopping at Target I remembered my mom used a cleanser and moisturizer by Boots, and thought why not give it a try. It only cost me $4.69!

Product Info:
Sensitive skin needs extra care when being cleansed. This hypoallergenic foaming wash is specially formulated to be less drying. With soothing aloe vera and mineral water it leaves skin cleansed and refreshed.

Fragrance-free. Lanolin-free. Dermatologically tested.

PROS
+Leaves skin feeling clean and soft
+Very gentle
+Has a little to no smell
+Dispenses a light foam(a very small amount goes a long way)

CONS
The only con for me is that it can be a bit stripping, if you use too much of it. I'm a normal to dry skin type, but much oilier in the summer months. All you need is about 1/4th of a pump. Make sure to follow up with a good moisturizer.

All in all, I'd say it's a good cleanser, and even better for the price.
